BlackBerry Master Control Program (MCP) is a power tool for BlackBerry devices designed for basic, moderate and advanced users.

You can use BlackBerry Master Control Program (MCP) to (Basic) take screenshots (including auto-capture and auto-save), set the device time, turn the radio/on off, recover memory, gather information, view/clear event logs, display modules, gather module information, create ALX/JAD files, backup and restore third party applications, (Advanced) handheld wipe (all 3 types), factory reset, load, save and erase modules. The Operating System Management page allows you to completely manage and optimize any OS you want to install on your device. The Javaloader CLI page offers a 1:1 GUI for javaloader.exe.

MCP allows you to keep an unlimited number of OS’s installed on your PC but at the time you actually install an OS to your device MCP only lets RIM’s Application Loader “see” the OS you had selected inside MCP. Most OS 101 articles tell you to uninstall all other OS’s from your PC before you begin the process. This is time consuming to say the least. MCP allows you to keep multiple BlackBerry OS’s installed on your computer and keep them in their current (possibly optimized) state for later use at any time.

Any controls that can potentially harm your device are blocked from use until you enter a passphrase… so even new users can’t do any harm using it until they know what they are doing.

Tips Backup Database BlackBerry®

BACKUP

Jalankan Desktop Manager pada PC anda
Konek BB dengan PC
Tunggu sampai DM mengenali BB anda
Klik menu “Backup and Restore”

Akan ada 3 pilihan, yaitu : “Backup”, “Restore”, dan “Advanced”

Dibawah menu “Backup” ada pilihan “Opions” dan “Backup”
Pilih “Options” untuk mengatur setting/opsi saat melakukan backup
Pilih “Backup” untuk memulai proses backup

Setelah memilih “Backup”, akan ada perintah untuk mengisi nama file untuk backup itu. Silahkan isi sesuka hati, defaultnya Backup-(tanggal).
Kalau sudah selesai, klik “Save”

Proses backup akan dimulai, silahkan menunggu prosesnya selesai.

RESTORE

Jalankan Desktop Manager pada PC anda
Konek BB dengan PC
Tunggu sampai DM mengenali BB anda
Klik menu “Backup and Restore”

Akan ada 3 pilihan, yaitu : “Backup”, “Restore”, dan “Advanced”

Pilih “Restore”
Dilayar akan muncul box dengan pilihan file backup sebelumnya. Browse file backup anda jika ada di folder lain.
Kalau sudah, klik “Open”.
Akan muncul pertanyaan kalau anda mau mengganti database yang ada di BB anda dengan database backup yang anda pilih.
Jika benar, lanjutkan.
Proses restore akan dimulai, silahkan menunggu sampai prosesnya selesai.
Setelah selesai, silahkan lakukan hard reset (cabut batt) untuk fresh memory.

ADVANCED BACKUP AND RESTORE

Adakalanya anda akan menemui ‘error” saat proses backup/restore berlangsung, sehingga proses backup/restore akan berlangsung tidak sempurna, bahkan gagal.
Inilah saatnya menggunakan Advanced Backup/Restore.Dengan cara ini, maka anda dapat mengetahui database mana yang corrupt yang tak dapat dibackup.
Atau jika hanya ingin melakukan backup salah satu item, misalnya kontak telp, atau kontak bbm, ataupun autotext dan service books, cara Advanced Backup/Restore juga dapat dilakukan.

Klik menu “Backup and Restore”

Akan ada 3 pilihan, yaitu : “Backup”, “Restore”, dan “Advanced”

Pilih “Advanced”.

Pada layar berikut akan  muncul 2 kolom, kolom sebelah kanan adalah database di BB anda, sedangkan kolom sebelah kiri adalah database di PC.
Untuk melakukan Advanced Backup,
pilih item yang akan dibackup dari kolom sebelah kanan.
Pilihan bisa dipilih lebih dari satu, caranya yaitu pilih sambil menahan tombol “Ctrl” pada keyboard anda.
Jika sudah selesai memilih, klik pilihan “<<” ditengah layar.
Item yang telah dipilih akan dicopy ke kolom sebelah kiri.
Untuk menyimpan backup tersebut di PC anda, klik “File” dan “Save As”

Untuk melakukan Advanced Restore,
pilih item yang akan direstore dari kolom sebelah kiri.
Jika kosong, atau mau meload database yang lain, klik “File”, “Open”, dan browse file backup (.ipd) sebelumnya.
Nanti akan muncul daftar database dikolom sebelah kiri.
Setelah memilih yang akan direstore, klik pilihan “>>” ditengah layar.
Item yang telah dipilih akan dicopy ke kolom sebelah kanan.
Jangan lupa lakukan hard reset (cabut batt) untuk fresh memory.

Tips Backup Aplikasi Pihak Ketiga pada BlackBerry

Ada kalanya kita ingin melakukan clean-wipe pada blackberry (misalnya dengan jl_cmder/bbsak dimana semua data termasuk aplikasi akan turut hilang), maka ada baiknya kita melakukan backup aplikasi pihak ketiga (selain backup data).
Atau untuk sekedar jaga-jaga apabila nanti terjadi sesuatu dengan blackberry kita (misalnya OS corrupt), bisa juga dilakukan backup aplikasi sebelum terjadi hal tersebut

BACKUP :

1) Install Desktop Manager pada PC. Link DM 5 official bisa diklik disini.
2) Konek Blackberry dengan PC.
3) Jalankan Desktop Manager.
4) Pilih Switch Device Wizard.
5) Pilih Switch Blackberry Devices.
6) Pilih Next.
7) Pilih USB & kemudian PIN#
Kemudian pilih next. Dan masukan kata sandi (password), bila anda mengaktifkannya.
9) Uncheck User Data & Settings dan juga uncheck Include Messages sehingga hanya 3rd Party Apps yg ter-check.
10) Pilih Next
11) Setelah selesai melakukan backup, layar di biarkan dalam keadaan tersebut. JANGAN pilih Next atau Cancel.
12) Sekarang di My Computer cari folder yang namanya menggunakan nomor PIN BB anda, contohnya folder yang namanya “256xxxxx”, JANGAN LUPA untuk periksa System Files serta hidden files juga. Pastikan juga ada file .alx sesuai dengan PIN BB anda (misalkan 256xxxxx.alx).
13) Setelah anda temukan, copy dan simpan di tempat yg mudah diingat.
14) Kembali ke halaman Switch Device Wizard yang sebelumnya kita tinggalkan, dan pilih cancel. Jangan lupa untuk check kembali bahwa folder tersebut telah di simpan, sebelum kita memilih cancel. Bila lupa, data-data tersebut akan hilang.
15) Backup selesai

RESTORE :

1) Masuk Desktop Manager, pilih Apploader, dan pilih ADD
2) “Cari” folder yang tadi kita simpan dengan nomor PIN kita, kemudian double klik pada nama “256xxxxx.alx” (sesuai contoh tadi).
3) Aplikasi pihak ketiga anda akan tampil di layar Apploader.
4) Pilih Finish, untuk mengaktikan pengisian kembali aplikasi tersebut ke Blackberry anda.
5) Sekarang anda dapat me-restore kembali data-data lainnya yg sudah dibackup tadi.
